This weekend I picked up first-place honors in public safety reporting and lifestyle reporting in the small newspapers class. Since those were the only categories I entered, I was pretty taken aback.
My winning stories were:
- Bloodied but Unbowed (with sider attached)- public safety reporting
- When Worlds Collide (sider here)- lifestyle reporting
Sun staffers combined for 10 awards in writing, photography and design.
